Spend an hour chatting with me about (almost) anything. These conversations are so lovely for me, but I also use them as a way to fund the work I do.

What to expect...

This is a conversation. Free-flowing. I’m happy to chat through whatever’s on your mind. And if you’re working on something, I love to offer suggestions and work through it with you.

I love to talk (as you can probably tell), and I don’t need a set agenda. But if there’s something specific you’d like to get out of the call, definitely note that too!
What this is not...

Therapy. There are some great people who do that. I don’t mind a real, honest talk about deconstruction (a common topic). But I’m not a mental health professional.

A deep dive into a very specific research question. Totally happy to talk broad strokes about anything that’s interesting to you. But remember, I’m not an encyclopedia. If you want to work on something specific, let me know when you book.

A debate. If you disagree with me, that’s more than okay. There are lots of great channels that take very different positions from mine. And that’s okay!

A bit more about me...
These are some of the areas I know quite a bit about.
The Bible:
I have an MA, a MDiv, and a PhD (Toronto) in Christian origins. I love all things Bible, but I’m much stronger in the New Testament and the world it came from. Papyri. Inscriptions. These were my jams. You can see my CV here if you want to know what my academic specialties are. If you’re really into Deuteronomistic history or Sumerian archaeology, I promise I will be a disappointment ;
Deconstruction & Christianity:
I went through my own painful journey out of faith. I’ve watched a lot of people go through it. And I’ve talked a lot about it. I also do still practice (and love) Christianity. And I’m happy to talk about either of these! Remember, I spent 10 years as a youth pastor, trained to be a minister, and probably still would be if I wasn’t too much of a heretic.
Building a project on the Internet:
I’ve been building online projects for years. Blogs and YouTube Channels for myself. And I’ve worked for a lot of clients building stuff for them.
Marketing:
My “day job” has been marketing for a while now. I have a small consulting business that works mostly with tech companies (my focus has been SEO). My main client right now is a Silicon Valley SaaS brand that I took to 100k+ organic search traffic monthly
